Picking a wedding photographer is not an easy task! But it’s an important one to get right, so I thought I’d tell you a bit about me as a person, to see if we’d be a good fit.
You want to be comfortable in the company of your wedding photographer, as you will be spending one of the biggest days of your life with them.
As you’ve probably already seen from the rest of my website, I like to capture lots of natural pictures so I always photograph weddings with a smile on my face, mainly because I genuinely enjoy it, but also because I believe that if you want the people in the pictures to look happy and relaxed they have to feel happy and relaxed around the photographer. This is an important aspect of my philosophy and my business.
I am a positive person and I love the challenge of creating beautiful pictures wherever I may be and whatever the weather. Every wedding is different because every couple is unique and for me that is what makes my job so interesting and fun.
I studied photography at university, where I achieved a photography degree. I then went on to work at various photography studios in London and Essex, before deciding to start my own business in 2008. Since then my business has gone from strength to strength and I continually push myself to create pictures that people will love, in my own style of wedding photography. I love meeting new people and being able to capture unique wedding stories every week.
I am a full-time, professional wedding photographer based in Essex. I have been been running my own business ‘Pure Image Photography’ for over 10 years now. I love taking pictures and I love being able to capture the happiest moments of peoples lives. I live with my wife Jane, our daughter Ruby and our Labradoodle Rufus.
When I’m not photographing weddings, I enjoy keeping fit and running. I run marathons and half marathons and in the past couple of years I’ve run Malaga marathon and Manchester and I’m currently training for London Marathon 2025. I am also kept busy with our daughter Ruby, who is now 9 years old.
